We welcomed students, supervisors and industry partners from across our CDT-GIF network to Manchester for our annual conference.

The event brought together attendees from our partner universities — Heriot-Watt University, Imperial College London, University of Bath and University of Sheffield — alongside representatives from industry, creating a valuable space for collaboration between academia and industry professionals.

Cohort 1 students delivered presentations showcasing the progress and impact of their research projects, while Cohort 2 students presented their research posters throughout the day. The conference provided an excellent opportunity for students, academic supervisors and industry partners to exchange ideas, discuss emerging challenges and innovations as well as strengthen connections across the CDT-GIF community.

It was a fantastic day of conversation, learning and collaboration and we would like to thank everyone who contributed to making the event such a success.
