Cohort 2 successfully completed first residential

Our second cohort of PhD researchers have successfully completed their first residential as part of the CDT-GIF training programme. The course allows students to delve into many of the key technologies needed to make industry more sustainable, as well as exploring the fundamentals of sustainable and responsible research. This aims to give students an opportunity to contextualise their own research in the wider technological system. We also enjoyed an excellent team building session provided by Heuristic Games on ‘Power Trader Workshop’, an interactive game where you take control of your own power company. An excellent way to introduce students (and staff) to energy trading concepts. Thank you to all of our amazing students for their huge efforts and for thoroughly engaging in the course. Onwards to the University of Bath Residential in March 2026.
